Teaching Overview

In all my classes, I aim to help students discover compelling connections between the Romantic and Victorian eras and our own, and to consider how literature from these periods can help us better conceptualize and imagine solutions to concerns of our present moment. Along the way, we discover how the formal characteristics and language patterns of the texts we read have the ability to reconfigure dramatic historical shifts, and experiment with digital humanities tools which help us ask new questions about the texts we read.
